Welcome to Beach Grove Elementary!

My name is Jacquie von Schulmann and I am the Principal here at Beach Grove Elementary. I would like to acknowledge that we are teaching, learning and playing on the traditional territory of the scəw̓ aθən məsteyəxʷ (Tsawwassen) and xʷməθkʷəy̓əm (Musqueam) First Nations.

I know that Beach Grove is a wonderful place to learn, and we are so fortunate to be in such a beautiful and vibrant community. I grew up in this community and raised my own family here in Tsawwassen as well. I have been an administrator the last 7 years in Ladner at Hawthorne Elementary and Holly Elementary and was excited to return to Tsawwassen and the Beach Grove community last year as Principal.

I am looking forward to a great year with our staff, students and families.

The staff at Beach Grove Elementary is committed to working with families and other partners in the community to support the academic, social, emotional and physical growth of each student so that they can thrive and flourish.

I also look forward to working with our PAC again, who work so hard to provide our school with additional supports and resources. Together, as a school community (teachers, staff, students and parents) we will continue to make Beach Grove the best school it can be.

On behalf of Beach Grove Elementary I extend a warm welcome to our returning families as well as our incoming new families. Our goal is to support all students in acquiring the skills necessary to be happy and successful in life.  We look forward to a wonderful year together.
