Hello Parents! 

You have until Sept. 16th to place orders for Fun Lunch for September – January on the Hot-lunches website: Access code: BGHL 
https://beachgrove.hotlunches.net/admin/ 

In order to keep the information up to date in the system, ie teachers, students, grades, divisions etc, we have to reset the system so all profiles are deleted.  Even if you previously had a profile set up for ordering, you will be required to create a new log in and password as do new parents to the school. 

If you would like to volunteer at Fun Lunch, click on the checkbox at the end of each month’s menu for which you can volunteer.

Welcome Back Family BBQ is this Wednesday, bring a picnic blanket and come have dinner with your school community! Food for sale from the Boundary Bay Lions Streetside Kitchen Food Truck and Mario’s Ice Cream Truck.

Don’t forget that our Meet The Teacher Night is this Wednesday right after the BBQ at 6pm. As we stated last week, just a reminder that this is not a Parent Teacher Interview, as teachers are still getting to know your children. Meet The Teacher Night, is intended to be casual and informal. We hope you come out to meet your child’s teacher.

There will also be a presentation for parents by the Saleema Noon Company at 7pm (right after Meet The Teacher)

We are starting a Lego Club! Please consider donating and Lego pieces, Lego Platforms, and Lego Figures that may be lying around and unused in your house. We are looking forward to starting this club within the next few weeks, so the earlier we can gather the donations the better. Please pass along any Lego you are willing to part with to Mrs. Adam in the office.

Our Terry Fox Run is coming up on Sept 27th. Students are encouraged to bring a Toonie for the Terry Fox Foundation.

 

You will notice that we have new visitor ID lanyards by the sign-in book in the front lobby. Just a reminder that all parents and family members need to sign in and wear an ID tag. We also ask that parents avoid being outside on school grounds during recess and lunch when our students are playing. This helps minimize any confusion to both our students and to our staff. Lunches being delivered can be left at the office and we will make sure it gets to your child.

 

Please note that our Year-End Assembly that involves our Grade 7s is now Tuesday, June 23rd. The original date was for Wednesday, June 24th. Grade 7 parents please mark your calendars and note the change of date.
