Coyote’s Howl Oct 7 – 11

Dear Parents and Families,

Thank you for taking the time to read this edition of the Coyote’s Howl. I hope that you have been able to spend some quality family time this weekend and we look forward to another busy but great week. As the weather gets a colder and rainier, please help your child come dressed for the weather. Since we believe that our students do need to run and play as much as possible, Inside days will only be on days when there is extreme weather.

Please see below to see the established traffic routes for pick-up and drop off. Your help and cooperation is truly appreciated. We acknowledge that parents can often feel rushed and stressed during drop-off and pick-up times, but your efforts will help keep everyone safe. Holiday Raffle Donations

Beach Grove Elementary PAC will be holding our 2nd Annual Holiday Raffle near the end of November. Tickets will be sold by school families in the weeks leading up to our annual holiday concert, with additional sales during the 2 concert performances that will be attended by hundreds of families. Last year the raffle raised an amazing $5910 for our school!

If you, your business or someone you know has a donation, product or service they are able to donate for the raffle, please email bge.pac@gmail.com. Should you make a donation, your business will be recognized on our displays, handouts and our school newsletter.

Next PAC meeting is Wednesday, October 9th at 6:30 pm in the staff room. Free babysitting provided in the library.
Also don’t forget that Beach Grove Elementary has our continuing fundraiser with Cobs Bread Tsawwassen Commons. All you have to do is mention Beach Grove when purchasing and our school receives 5% back.

Dear grade 6 and 7 parents/guardians,

Please be advised that students should only be bringing their instruments on Mondays and Thursdays for Band class and then taking them back home to practice after Band class. Students should not leave their instruments on the gym stage during the week as the school gym is often booked by user groups at night. We also want to avoid any damage or even theft. Every band student should be practicing with their instruments for at least 15 minutes everyday.

If you have any questions or concerns, feel free to contact Ms. Chan at mchan@deltasd.bc.ca

Thank you,

Ms. Chan”

Don’t forget to check out our digital lost and found. We have just under 40 items looking to reunited with their owners. If you recognize any of these items as belonging to your family, please make arrangements to come claim them.

We are also working hard at playing safely outside. Have a look at the poster above to see some of the things we have been focusing on.

Just a reminder that teachers can often answer many of the questions you might be having about school. Please don’t hesitate to contact your child’s teacher to clarify anything that you may be wondering about. Looking for an email address? Don’t forget that there is a staff directory on our website. The link is below.

Staff Directory

Just a reminder that we need your help. All parents and family members need to sign in and wear an ID tag when visiting the school. We also ask that parents avoid being outside on school grounds during recess and lunch when our students are playing. This is strictly for safety and helps us minimize any confusion to both our students and to our staff. Lunches and other items being delivered can be left at the office and we will make sure it gets to your child.

Thank you to our Volleyball Coaches, (Ms. Klassen, Ms. M. Hardy and Mr. Khan) for coaching volleyball this year. These teachers are volunteering their time to coach our grade 6s and 7s in this amazing extra-curricular activity. Without volunteers like them, our kids would not have such great opportunities.
