Coyote’s Howl June 14 – 18

Dear Parents and Families,
Monday, June 21st is National Indigenous Peoples Day
Staff, students and parents are encouraged to wear orange on that day.

The art is by Timothy Foster, he is Gitxsan from the house of Niisto in the Lax Seel clan. “A Mother’s Love“ represents how important it is to respect and love our life givers, always and forever.
More information about the artist can be found here:

If you are interested in purchasing an orange t-shirt, please email with your name and size.

A friendly reminder for those parents interested in ordering their child’s next year’s school supplies through School Start.  If you do so by JUNE 14th you are eligible for all five of their exciting early ordering incentive draws.  The school supplies lists are available on our website at

On June 15, the government may announce that the province is moving to Step 2 of the BC Restart Plan. It is important for parents to know that the lifting of restrictions for individuals, businesses and services do not impact our schools. Schools are required to continue to follow the provincial COVID-19 Health and Safety Guidelines for K-12 Settings that have already been put in place until June 30th.

Due to school COVID Guidelines, Fun day will look different this year. Teachers have scheduled a time where their class will experience some Fun Day activities. Classes will be scheduled for either the morning of June 22 or June 24.

Looking for ideas about activities for your kids in the summer? Please see the Delta Kids website.  It is updated regularly and will have more updates regarding summer camps and activities for kids in the coming weeks with the anticipated changes in Covid guidelines.
